[There's pain when his teeth first press into her. She whimpers, though she doesn't try to pull away. She didn't know it was possible for her heart to race as fast as it's going right now. She's pressed back against the wall, and he's given her no purchase. And he's biting her, drinking from her. That's enough to make her head swim, Chrissy easily getting caught up in the sensation.

Chrissy, who is good and sweet, who let her mother and Jason and everyone else make choices for her —

That Chrissy is struggling. In this world, everything is advanced and even when she's in an apartment full of the guys that are taking such good care of her, she feels lonely. She feels like she has to let the old Chrissy stay dead. She was lost in Hawkins. The Chrissy that's been reborn here is troubled, her mind just as fractured as her body had once been.

Eddie's close enough now, he must be able to notice the trails of scars that line her arms and legs. Six months in the hospital and dozens of surgeries later, she's a different person than she had once been. She's broken.

But this, doing something for Eddie, that makes sense. So it doesn't take long before she melts into the contact, gasping softly as she shifts just enough to try and get comfortable. Her hand gently presses against the side of his face, another point of contact.

It's okay. I'm okay. [She reassures him, shuddering.] Keep going.

[She thinks at this point, he would even without her permission.]
