Peter's eyes go wide for a moment, the luminescence of them increasing slightly thanks to the rush of embarrassment.
"What? No, come on, I didn't mean you. I just meant...you know, in general."
His wing feathers go back to normal, more relaxed. The whole touch thing is wild to him, especially because he spends precious little time touching anyone these days. He already misses just the casual touch of friends, and this place just forces you to do that, to touch people. It's actually not the worst?
"I can feel that it's out there, it's just...I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for. The last place I was was way worse than this one, and it was like...a tear. A hole through reality, kinda?"
He shakes his head. The Nexus thing is new and horrifying. Is this what they'd glimpsed through the twisting magic when the universes were colliding from Dr. Strange's spell back home? Stephen isn't here to ask, but maybe if he ever gets back, Peter will see if the sorcerer has any thoughts.
"Goddess of Stories," he repeats. He'd heard another Loki say something like that, but they were god that time. Another time they probably weren't. Lokis just be like that, apparently.
"Nah, you've probably lived through way more stuff than me. I'm new to all the weird magic bits."
